9’4 x 11’7 Brown + Cream Goat Hair Vintage Flatweave Kilim ‘3015

Description

This flatweave kilim from Black Sea region of Turkey is made with pure goat hair.

The color in this two piece flatweave is dark brown tweed in varying depths of brown with faint wool cream lines and stripes. It’s braided with cream wool on one end border. There is a pink tuft representing a wish (which can be removed) but is authentic to the story of the rug as well as a wool cicim symbol.

Actual size is: 9’4” x 11’7”
This is 2 pieces and one piece is an inch longer.

It has been professionally washed, blocked, starched and restored.

Condition: immaculately clean; ends and sides bound securely..
