This vintageAmazigh rug is over40+ years oldand comes from theAit Ouaouzguite Association, pictured are two women who belong to the Association.

Madeof100% wool from the local sheep,the association believes the weaver carded, brushed and spun the wool by hand. She then used localplants and spicesto create thevibranthues.

It’s thought this textile was woven in dedication to her two children, the first being born in 1977 and the second in 1978. This timeless piece represents generations of tradition and symbolism.
Due to the age of this piece, you will find some light fraying, with that said, with proper care this piece will continue to charm for many years to come.
