19th Century Indian Agra Rug Fragment

All rugs have been thoroughly cleaned; age-related wear and patina are considered normal in these unique, hand-woven vintage rugs. All pieces have been photographed with moderate natural light. Colors may vary depending on your phone or screen settings. Some items may not be perfectly straight or rectangle. We consider these characteristics part of what makes them truly one-of-a-kind.

Each rug listed on our site is either a wool pile on a cotton foundation or a wool pile on a wool foundation. Quality, unrefined wool contains a substance called lanolin. Lanolintends to have a naturalsmell, which many compare to thesmellof sheep – or almost metallic-y, but sweet and grassy.
