Mlouka’s Taloust Runner

Description

This intricate runner was woven by Mlouka one of the elders of the Taloust village.

The Taloust village ispart of the Tazenakhttribe which is known for this complex weaving technique. This rug style consists of a labyrinthine of geometric shapes that has the same design on both sides which allows this runner to be reversible.

Woven with 100% live sheep’s wool, the colors are created with natural vegetables and spice blends – ingredients like henna, pomegranate skin, saffron, indigo and mint to name a few.

This Flatweave is incredibly strong and will withstand the test of time.
