Sfia’s Calming Hand-Knot

This rug was handwoven by Sfia.

Sfiais part of a women-only association located in Anzal,a village located just north from the popular weaving town of Tazenakht.

In Anzal the weaving tradition is nurtured by the womanpassing the skills down from generation to generation.Malika & Khatima, pictured, are two of the most senior members of the association who keep the tradition alive.

Made from 100% live wool, this wool carded, brushed and spun by the women of the association.

Sfia utilized indigo stone to hand-dye the color.The calming hues of this rug will bring peace into any home.
