Anaya’s Symbolic Family Heirloom

This vintage Amazigh rug is over 50 years old and comes from Anaya’s mother-In-Law.

This vintage rug was made from 100% sheep’s wool. While the black is natural undyed wool, the colors come from a blend of henna, saffron and other vegetation that surrounds the village.

This timeless piece represents generations of tradition and symbolism. For example,one of the shapes inside the trellis designrepresents a lion paw, a symbol ofstrength and protectionin theAmazigh culture.

Due to the age of this piece, you will find some light fraying, with that said, with proper care this piece will continue to charm for many years to come.
