This dreamy Hanbelwas handwoven byMbarka.

Mbarka was one of the first artisans we ever worked with and through the years we’ve grown closer and closer to her and her extended family. While Mbarka usually works with her daughter-in-law, Khadija, she wove this piece alone many years ago.This rug style is called Hanbel. It’s woven with 100% ‘live’ sheep’s wool. Themajority of the rug is made up of natural, undyed wool. The loom was set-up with a combination of saffron-dyed wool, undyed woolas well as cotton which has created an ombre of colors for the rugs tassels.

The variation of color throughout the weave makes this one-of-a-kind Hanbel absolute cozy addition to any home.
