ThisvintageBeni M’Guild was woven by and belonged toa family that resides in a small village outsideTimahdite.

Timahdite is nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains and is known for having harsh winters.

This vintage rugwas made of 100% wool and dyed with only natural spices.

The Beni M’Guildrug style is know for its versatility. During the cold winters of the region the family would use the thick, wool pile to keep the house warmyet during the warm months when extra warmth was no longer needed they had the ability toflipthe rug over to usethe flat side.

With simple geometric diamond shapes against bold colors these piecesradiate beauty.

Due to the age of the piece the pilehas been worn down to a low pile but will withstand the test of time for many decades to come.
